Backdoor Bakery
The Backdoor Bakery is a student-run bakery for the Culinary Arts program at Skagit Valley College. Students produce a wide range of scratch-made breads, cakes, cookies, tarts, and chocolates.
Location: Next to the Culinary Garden, across from the Norwood Cole Library.
Hours: 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. | Tues. – Thurs.
Cardinal Café
Cardinal Café is a student-run restaurant for the Culinary Arts program at Skagit Valley College. The menu showcases students’ talents and abilities as part of their capstone projects.
Location: Behind the cafeteria in the Cardinal Center. Enter through the Cardinal Center or from the outdoor entrance across from the DuVall Pavilion.
Hours:
- Lunch: Tues. –Thurs. | 11 a.m – 1:30 p.m.
- Breakfast: Wed. | 9 – 11 a.m.

Mobile Food Lab
Skagit Valley College’s Mobile Food Lab is run by students in the Culinary Arts program. Students gain hands-on experience and culinary skills in a mobile food truck setting.
Location: Parked by Blackburn Pickleball Pavilion.
Hours: Current closed
Coffee Kiosk (Operated by Cardinal Bookstore)
The Mount Vernon campus coffee shop serves brewed coffee as well as grab-and-go snacks and drinks.
