Advanced Manufacturing and Design

The Bachelor of Applied Science in Advanced Manufacturing and Design provides the skills and experience needed to advance careers in manufacturing across a broad range of industries in both technical and managerial roles. The curriculum is based on solving real world workplace challenges related to production systems, automation, materials testing, safety, operations and project management, supply chain, quality control, technical communications, and sustainability. Participants will draw on past educational and work experience while also working to build advanced skills and knowledge in CAD/CAM, data analysis, and technical problem solving.

Program Highlights

  • The Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Advanced Manufacturing and Design is a two-year, 90-credit career-orientated degree.
  •  Selective admissions program with a single Fall entry point.
  • The program is structured to provide participants with a balance between in-person and asynchronous (independent) online courses.
  • Participants attend in-person production labs once a week and complete additional coursework online, allowing attendees to balance their academic goals with other commitments.
  • Participants work on developing solutions to real world workplace challenges related to production systems, automation, materials testing, safety, and more.
  • Applicants who have completed an associates degree in manufacturing, a technical trade, engineering technology, or a closely related field or have earned 90+ credits of college coursework in a STEM related program are well positioned to begin the program.
