Student Government
The Associated Students of Skagit Valley College (ASSVC) represents you as a student of the College. You are a member of the ASSVC if you are enrolled in classes at SVC. The ASSVC and its legislative body govern themselves and share in policy-making within the administrative structure of the College. Students participate with faculty, staff and administrators to determine College policy by serving on institutional committees. The ASSVC Campus Presidents and other students make reports to the college’s Board of Trustees at their monthly meetings.
The regular meetings of the ASSVC are open to all students, faculty, and staff. The exact date, time and location of the meetings will be posted in the Student Government office on both campuses and on the ASSVC module of the Center for Student Leadership, Equity and Community Canvas course, which all students are enrolled into.
If you are interested in becoming involved with Student Government, contact a Student Government Advisor at studentlife@skagit.edu.
