International Student Testimonials

From Skagit Valley College to the Fashion Institute of Technology? Waynerio proves that anything is possible! This international student and recent graduate took his fashion dreams from SVC to NYC

View Transcript

Waynerio: I am Jarutrawi Tawaisab. Or you know me as Wayne, or Waynerio. I was born in Bangkok, Thailand—2004.

Interviewer: When did you first get into fashion design?

Waynerio: I think when I was three, I like to cut the paper like a frapping. For me I think it is the spirit that I inherited from my ancestors who were royal additions in the Ayutthaya period. And I don’t want to sculpt this art and this technique only in Thailand. Skagit Valley College is like my second home, they treat the international student like local people around here. I would say I gave my heart to this place.
