Coming Soon: This fall, Skagit Valley College is excited to launch Handshake as its centralized recruitment platform for connecting employers with SVC students. To ensure a smooth transition, we are providing time for employers to create accounts or connect existing ones to SVC, prior to our student launch of the platform. Students will gain access to begin searching and applying for jobs/internships in November. Learn more about getting started on Handshake below.  

If you have roles that you need to fill prior to November, please visit our SVC student job board and follow the instructions listed there for posting. This page will be phased out later this fall, once Handshake is live.

Handshake is Skagit Valley College's free online recruiting platform for employers seeking emerging talent. Post internships, entry-level, part-time, and full-time opportunities to connect directly with talented SVC students and graduates. Whether you're building your future workforce or filling immediate hiring needs, Handshake makes it easy to recruit qualified, career-ready candidates.

Create Handshake Employer Account Log in to your Employer Account

Please note: Opportunities will be reviewed for approval before posting to students. To determine if your organization and employment opportunities are a good fit for our students, please start by reviewing our Recruitment Policies and Employer Expectations.

You will begin by creating your free employer account. To learn about the steps in this process, check out the 3-minute employer onboarding video or review this step-by-step guide.

If the current owner has left your organization, is no longer active, or is otherwise unavailable, contact Handshake Support.

This step-by-step guide walks you through the information you’ll input to post a job to Handshake.  If you have an existing job description, Handshake can parse that to fill many of the required sections.
