PURPOSE
To communicate information about Skagit Valley College programs, events, and offerings to the public in a timely manner and in a variety of media.
POLICY
Every effort will be made to ensure the accuracy of public information distributed by Skagit Valley College. Public information is subject to change without notice.
The college’s total liability for student claims related to incorrect information about classes or programs shall be limited to the tuition and expenses paid by the student to the college for those classes. The college is not liable for any special, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including, but not limited to, loss of earnings or profits.
Materials published by Skagit Valley College, such as catalogs, web pages, fee schedules, etc., do not create binding contracts between SVC and its students. The college reserves the right at any time to make changes to any regulations or requirements governing instruction in and graduation from the college in accordance with the college’s institutional accreditation. Changes to the college’s public information shall take effect at the discretion of college leadership and applies to currently enrolled and prospective students. In cases where a program is discontinued, students will be informed appropriately and promptly in accordance with the college’s institutional accreditation.
PROCEDURES
Skagit Valley College recommends that students recognize that college information is subject to change without notice and that they should consult their advisors regularly.
The approved limitation of liability statement regarding programs, academic policies, and schedules shall appear on the college website and in the Skagit Valley College Academic Catalog.
