Out of State Students
Skagit Valley Colleges is a member of the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA), which allows students residing in other member states of SARA to attend SVC’s online classes. Check with SVC enrollment services to determine if there are any restrictions with degree programs for students outside the state of Washington. If you have a complaint or grievance related to your enrollment at SVC, follow the SVC Student Complaint Policy . If you are not satisfied with the resolution of your complaint after completing the SVC complaint process, you may submit an appeal to the Washington Student Achievement Council.
The Washington Student Achievement Council (WSAC) has authority to investigate student complaints against specific schools, but WSAC may not be able to investigate every student complaint. Visit http://www.wsac.wa.gov/student-complaints for information regarding the WSAC complaint process.
Professional Licensure
Online courses and programs at Skagit Valley College do not lead to professional licensure. However, our online course credits may transfer to university programs that may lead to state professional licensure. If your intent is to satisfy licensure requirements for your intended profession, it is suggested that you contact the state’s licensing agency to be sure our online program or courses actually do meet the requirements of the state in which you intend to practice.
