Financial Aid: Helping you finance your education
Applying for Financial Aid
Congratulations on your decision to pursue your education at Skagit Valley College! We are an affordable alternative to other four-year colleges, universities, and trade/vocational schools.
Whether you are an adult returning to school or a recent high school graduate, there is a lot to consider when you are thinking about college. A college education is a big investment of your time, effort and money. And right now you may be concerned about the hardest part of that equation – money. Meeting the costs of an education is a major investment for many students and families.
The Financial Aid Office at Skagit Valley College encourages all current and prospective students to explore their financial aid options.
Applying for financial aid is a multi-step process that begins with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Washington Application for State Financial Aid (WASFA) for students with HB 1079 and DACA students. The process can feel confusing and overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be that way! Following the steps below can help you successfully navigate the financial aid process at Skagit Valley College.
You can’t get financial aid if you don’t apply! You won’t know what you may be eligible for in federal, state and college grants without applying.
Don’t procrastinate, apply today!
